Salt Awareness Week
Objective: To educate the public on the harmful effects of too much salt on their health and simple ways to reduce sodium in their diet. Also encourage regular blood pressure screening as high blood pressure is viewed as a “silent killer”. Many suffer from high blood pressure and are not aware because there are no symptoms.

National Physical Activity Week was initiated by the NHF in 2009, and sanctioned by our Governor General. During this week (usually early April) activities are organized to promote Physical activity amongst all Jamaicans.
